Additional category-specific advice for posting in Holidays

As well as what is documented on our General Posting Advice page, here you will find advice for posting in Holidays.

Good content in Holidays

  • Detail the holiday package or rental with dates, location, and inclusions.

  • Photos must represent the offering.

  • List holiday packages, rentals, or accommodations with dates, the location, and inclusions (e.g., “2-week villa rental in Spain, pool included”).

  • Use photos that accurately depict the holiday offering.

  • Provide a realistic price reflecting the full cost.

  • Write a unique, detailed description of the experience or property.

  • Use pictures of the actual venue/area and ensure all media is owned by you or you have permission to use it.

What not to post in Holidays

  • Don’t post incomplete details (e.g., no dates or location).

  • Don’t use photos unrelated to the holiday (e.g., random beach scenes not tied to the offer).

  • Don’t post URLs without the paid upgrade.

  • Don’t post URLs for sites not related to the advert.

  • Don’t reference risky behaviours (e.g., intoxication or illegal activities) in the description.

  • Don’t post multiple similar ads for the same holiday in one area.

Possible Refusal Reasons:

  • Refusal for Spam

Multiple ads for the same item in one area (e.g., ten ads for the same property posted at the same time).

  • Non-English Content

Titles or descriptions are fully or partially in another language without an English translation.

  • Inconsistent Content

Details contradict each other (e.g., “House” in the title, “apartment” in the description; “rural location” vs. “in the City”).

Multiple different phone numbers appear across fields, photos, or text.

  • Not Enough Information

Descriptions are too vague or lack at least five unique aspects/features/benefits (e.g., “For sale: land in spain” with no approximate sizing footage, condition, price, type).

  • Price Issues

Prices are significantly higher or lower than market norms for similar goods/services (e.g., a £10 car or a £1,000 haircut).

Dummy numbers are used to fill the price field (e.g., £1, £999999) instead of an accurate amount.

  • Unauthorised Content

References to risky behaviours, such as intoxication from alcohol or legal substances. Bad language, aggressive or violent themes.
