Good content in Vehicles
Permitted items: Cars, motorcycles, vans, caravans, boats, rental vehicles, car parts/accessories.
One vehicle per ad.
Include condition, make, model, year, mileage, engine size, registration, and significant history (e.g., crashes/repairs).
Photos must show the vehicle with the registration visible.
Provide an accurate price.
Post cars, motorcycles, vans, caravans, boats, rental vehicles, or car parts/accessories here.
Limit each ad to one vehicle or accessory.
Describe the vehicle fully, including condition, make, model, year, mileage, engine size, registration, and significant history (e.g., crashes or repairs).
Include photos of the actual vehicle with the registration plate visible.
Set a realistic price based on comparable vehicles.
Ensure all content is original and written by you.
What not to post in Vehicles
Don’t post multiple vehicles in one ad unless sold as a single lot.
Don’t obscure the registration plate in photos of the vehicle for sale (unrelated vehicles should have plates obscured).
Don’t include people in the pictures.
Don’t use vague descriptions (e.g., “car for sale”)—provide detailed specifics.
Don’t include banned items like unlicensed taxis or transportation for escorts.
Don’t post URLs without the paid upgrade.
Don’t post URLs for sites not related to the advert.
Don’t reuse photos or text from other sources without permission.
Possible Refusal Reasons:
Unauthorised Goods/Services
Advert for mechanics or dealerships not actual specific vehicles. Multiple Vehicles in one advert.
Refusal for Spam
Multiple ads for the same item in one area (e.g., five ads for the same car in London).
Non-English Content
Titles or descriptions are fully or partially in another language without an English translation.
Inconsistent Content
Details contradict each other (e.g., “Ford” in the title, “Skoda” in the description; “new car” vs. “2nd hand”).
Multiple different phone numbers appear across fields, photos, or text.
Not Enough Information
Descriptions are too vague or lack at least the engine size/type, vehicle age/reg and mileage.
Price Issues
Prices are significantly higher or lower than market norms for similar goods/services (e.g., a £10 car or a £1,000 haircut).
Dummy numbers are used to fill the price field (e.g., £1, £999999) instead of an accurate amount.
Unauthorised Content
Bad language, aggressive or violent themes.
