Why was my ad refused?

Main refusal reasons. Overview of refusal reasons

If your ad has been refused, you'll receive a notification telling you why. Every refusal has a specific reason — find yours below to understand what happened and what to do next.

All ads on Vivastreet go through a moderation process that uses a combination of automated technology and a human review team. Most refusals can be fixed and resubmitted.

Content issues

Unauthorised content — Adult 18+ Escorting categories Your ad contains text or descriptions that aren't permitted in escorting categories — for example, explicit service descriptions, references to pricing, or content that breaches our rules for this category. → What counts as unauthorised content in Escorting categories

Unauthorised content — Adult 18+ Personals, Massage & Photography/Models Your ad contains content that isn't permitted in adult personals, massage, or photography/models categories. → What counts as unauthorised content in Adult 18+ Personals, Massage & Photography/Models

Unauthorised content — Non-adult categories Your ad contains content that isn't permitted outside adult categories — for example, suggestive language, prohibited services, or content in the wrong tone for the category. → What counts as unauthorised content in non-adult categories

Unauthorised goods or services The goods or services described in your ad are not permitted on Vivastreet — for example, illegal items, regulated products, or services that fall outside our platform rules. → Unauthorised goods or services — what's not allowed

Ad quality and information issues

Not enough information Your ad doesn't contain enough detail for users to understand what's being offered. Vivastreet requires ads to meet a minimum content standard to be published. → What information your ad needs to include

Inconsistent content Something in your ad doesn't add up — for example, the description doesn't match the category, the photos don't match the service, or the contact details in the ad don't match your account. → What inconsistent content means and how to fix it

Price issue The price entered in your ad is missing, unclear, or doesn't meet our requirements for the category. → Price rules and how to fix a price refusal

URL or web link included Your ad contains a website address or link that isn't permitted in the ad text. External links are only allowed if you've paid for the URL upgrade and the link matches your registered URL. → Why URLs aren't allowed and what to do

Wrong category Your ad was posted in a category it doesn't belong to. Ads must be placed in the section that accurately reflects what's being offered. → How to post in the right category

Photo issues

Photo refused or removed One or more photos on your ad were refused by moderation — for example, they contained prohibited content, didn't belong to you, or didn't match the service being advertised. → Why photos get refused and how to resubmit → What photos are accepted and what gets blurred or refused → Understanding the three photo moderation states

Account-level issues

Spam Your account has posted the same or very similar ads multiple times in a short period. This is flagged as spam and results in refusals across your ads. → What counts as spam and how to fix it

Multi-account Our systems have detected that you're running more than one Vivastreet account. Only one account is permitted per person. → Multi-account refusals — what happens next

Repeat offender Your account has broken our rules on multiple occasions. Repeat violations result in stricter moderation and may lead to your account being permanently restricted. → What happens if you're classed as a repeat offender
