Sometimes you might notice the site looks different to how it looked last week or different to what someone else sees. This is normal, and there is nothing wrong with your account.
We test changes with a small group first
Before we roll out a change to everyone, we usually try it with a portion of people first. That way we can see whether it actually helps before it goes live for everybody.
If you are in one of these groups, you might see a new button, a different layout, or an extra option that others do not have yet.
How people are chosen
It is random. It is not based on anything about you, what you have searched for, whether you have paid for anything, or how long you have been using the site.
It is temporary
These trials usually run for a few weeks. After that, either the change goes live for everyone or we remove it and go back to how it was.
Does this affect my adverts?
No. If you advertise with us, a trial does not change how your advert is treated. Your package and any paid features work exactly as normal.
Does this affect my account or my data?
No. Your account, your settings and your saved information are not affected.
Something is not working properly
If something looks broken rather than just different — a button that does nothing, a page that will not load, results that look wrong — please tell us. Trials are exactly when we most want to hear about problems, because it helps us catch them early.
You can contact us, and it helps if you tell us:
What you were trying to do
What happened instead
Whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer
Can I switch back to the old version?
Not at the moment. Trials need a consistent group of people to give us reliable results. If a change is not working well, we will remove it.
