As well as what is documented on our General Posting Advice page, here you will find advice for posting in Jobs.
Good content in Jobs
Specify the company, role title, requirements & responsibilities, location, and salary.
Advertise specific roles with details like job title, requirements, location, and salary (if applicable).
Use clear, honest language to describe the position and expectations.
Include a realistic wage or state if it’s negotiable.
Post one job per ad, ensuring it’s unique and written by you.
Add a URL only if you’ve purchased the upgrade.
Use relevant stock images (e.g., office setting) if they fit the job.
Keep photos professional and tied to the role.
What not to post in Jobs
Don’t post vague or misleading job descriptions (e.g., “work from home, great pay” with no specifics).
Don’t include illegal or unethical roles (e.g., hacking services).
Don’t post URLs without the paid upgrade.
Don’t post URLs for sites not related to the advert.
Don’t copy job listings from other sites—write your content.
Don’t post multiple ads for the same role in one area.
Possible Refusal Reasons:
Unauthorised Goods/Services
The ad is for a recruiter or a jobs board page, not a specific job. Multile jobs in one ad.
Refusal for Spam
Multiple ads for the same item in one area (e.g., fifteen ads for the same job in London posted at the same time).
Non-English Content
Titles or descriptions are fully or partially in another language without an English translation.
Inconsistent Content
Details contradict each other (e.g., “Work From home” in the title, “office-based” in the description). Multiple different phone numbers appear across fields, photos, or text.
Not Enough Information
Descriptions are too vague or lack basic details (e.g., full/part time, offered wage, temp or perm, employer's name, job title, role description.
Unauthorised Content
References to risky behaviours, such as intoxication from alcohol or legal substances. Bad language, aggressive or violent themes.
