If your ad got rejected because it had a URL or web link, don’t worry—we’re here to explain why and help you get it sorted. Links can be tricky on our site, so let’s break it down and get your ad back on track.
We remove ads with URLs for four main reasons:
It’s a competitor: The link goes to a competitor site we don’t want to promote.
It’s risky: The site you’ve linked looks suspicious, insecure, or doesn’t work properly.
No upgrade: You didn’t pay for the URL upgrade when it’s required.
In the wrong place: We only allow links in the designated section, not in the title, description, picture, video or anywhere else.
Note: We will remove any pictures we detect containing a URL or QR code, but this will not remove the advert.
How will I know?
We’ll show you. When your ad gets rejected, you’ll see one of two screens pop up with a message about the URL issue. You might also get an email or a notification in your account. Check those for the details.
Common causes:
The link leads to competitor sites that offer the same type of advertising services as Vivastreet.
The linked site looks homemade/unprofessional, broken or insecure to the point it may pose a security threat to our users' devices.
You have not bought the URL upgrade from the payment screen.
You have posted an ad with a URL in the title or description.
There was a URL or QR code in your picture or video.
How can I fix it?
Do not link competitor sites.
Make sure your site loads properly, is well-maintained and has up-to-date security protocols.
Buy the URL upgrade from the payment screen when posting in:
Do not post with a URL in the title or description.
Do not post with a URL or QR code in your picture or video.
